Announcing the NEU Commission

Page Not Found is thrilled to announce the second edition of the NEU Commission!
The NEU Commission intends to support the emergence of alternative voices within contemporary art. A particular group currently under-represented in Europe is composed of art students with limited financial means, who are required to provide a guarantee for their visa, and to pay high Non-EU tuition fees. These requirements are an economical barrier to the participation of this group in art and knowledge production in The Netherlands, removing from the expected polyphony of contemporary art voices from radically different backgrounds.
Page Not Found will commission three art students from non-European countries to each write an essay or a free-form text in English. The selected writers will each receive €2.000 for this commission. This compensation will be provided as an advance payment in December 2025. The commissioned texts will be published at a later date.

Open Call

To ensure equal opportunity for all eligible students, Page Not Found is running an open call for candidates. Before applying, we kindly invite you to carefully review the . Here are some essential points to remember:
Only students enrolled in the Dutch art academies, who are not nationals of the European Economic Area, are eligible.
The deadline to participate is
Sunday 16 November, 23:59 CEST (Amsterdam).
The commissioned text does not need to be submitted when answering the open call.
The jury will select recipients based on their previous writing and financial need.
